Located on the main shopping high street, 74 Dalton Road, BURROW'S TOOL FACTORS is one of the longest standing family run businesses still to operate in Barrow-in-Furness.
Since the 1940’s, BURROW'S TOOL FACTORS has strived to supply the people of Cumbria a DIY service with the means to build, renovate or repair their homes. We’ve worked hard to provide quality equipment, friendly advice and trusted support. Our wide range of products and specialist services are second to none.
Our services include Locksmith, key cutting and tool sharpening along with a range of quality DIY products and tools in store.
Thomas Burrow
Thomas Burrow, proprietor and Locksmith has nearly 40 year's experience in the tool trade and Locksmith industry, taking over the BURROW'S business in the early 1980's along with his sister Marian. Previously owned by his father, also named Thomas Burrow, the shop has been located in the heart of Barrow-in-Furness for over 70 years. Marian sadly passed away in 2013, however Thomas continues to run the family business with the support of his wife and children.
Thomas & Doris Burrow
Thomas Burrow senior started his trade early on in life working as a Painter and Decorator throughout the Lake District until setting up shop in the 1940's with his wife Doris on John Street, Barrow-in-Furness. Due to redevelopment and what is now the indoor market, BURROW'S initially moved to 95 Dalton Road and then finally settled at it's current location of 74 Dalton Road.
